We are Team Kosmos, NMIMS MPSTME’s Mars Rover team, known for our innovative rovers with six-wheel drive, 3D-printed tires, and autonomous navigation. Our designs have earned recognition at IRC and ISDC. We aim to compete in events like ARCh and URC to gain exposure, collaborate with experts, and enhance our engineering for space research.
Our story
Team KOSMOS, founded in 2022, is a 30-member NMIMS student team building advanced autonomous Mars rovers. We've won awards like Emerging Team of the Year and continue to push space exploration by developing our own cutting-edge tech. Open to all NMIMS affiliates, we aim to learn, innovate, and share our journey.

Our rover
Our autonomous rover is lightweight, modular, and built to handle Martian terrain while performing complex tasks in extreme conditions. It uses a six-wheel drive, 3D-printed wheels, and YOLO-based navigation for real-time obstacle detection. Equipped with scientific tools, it analyzes terrain and searches for signs of life. Through innovations in robotics and control systems, we aim to advance space exploration.
